Letter from the Director of Academics

Our children have been learning and growing at Silverstein Hebrew Academy since the age of 2.  We are going into our 8th year at the school and we are so thankful for the dedicated and personal attention each child receives, both academically and emotionally.  The teachers and Leadership Team are exceptional and go out of their way to address each student’s needs and enhance their strengths. The school’s focus on academic excellence and each child’s success is why we are part of the SHA family!

From the moment we enrolled, it has been an incredible experience filled with love, warmth, growth, and a remarkable education.  The teachers at SHA are nothing short of extraordinary. Their dedication, passion, and genuine love for the students is evident in every interaction they have with the children, every project, every picture or text.  I have so much respect for them!  I am constantly amazed at how much they are able to accomplish in the time they are with our children and how much of their time off-the-clock they are willing to put into their work.  They also work hard to understand each child’s unique personality, learning style, and needs, while tailoring their approach to ensure that both of my kids are thriving and engaged.

Additionally, I have always felt like an active participant in my children’s educational journey, with open lines of communication that allow us to work together seamlessly. The teachers not only value our input but actively seek it, creating a strong partnership that truly benefits our children’s growth and oftentimes puts my mind at ease, knowing they are being cared for like I would care for them (if not better!) when they are not with me.

We are very proud to be part of the SHA family for the last seven years where our children are continuously nurtured in an academically stimulating environment. We are always impressed with the level of learning they achieve which comes in hand with their growing confidence, self actualization and strengthening of middot values. We give great thanks to all the teachers who work persistently to facilitate all of the above into their daily curriculum and to help ensure our children will be the best versions of themselves. 

Silverstein Hebrew Academy has been a true home away from home for our daughter. She is learning and thriving educationally, emotionally and socially. The ruach the children receive and love for Torah and mitzvot is so heartwarming and by no means a compromise for the strength in general studies. SHA is a hidden gem in our community.

We are so blessed to send our children to Silverstein Hebrew Academy. It is such a warm, loving and supportive school, where each and every child is known personally. Our children have received a stellar education and continue to blossom both academically, socially and emotionally.

Look no further than Silverstein Hebrew Academy. I never had separation issues with my kids in this school because they easily found it to be their second home. The teachers, staff, and administration are very warm and treat you as family. The kids come home every day happy and secure. Your child is not just another number in a huge school.
