Message from our Director of Academics
Dear Parents,
At Silverstein Hebrew Academy, we are dedicated to providing a rigorous and nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence, creativity, and personal growth. Our commitment to academic rigor and student success sets us apart, and we are proud to offer a comprehensive education that prepares students for future success.
Building Foundations
In our Elementary School, students in the lower grades embark on an exciting journey of discovery. They learn to read with fluency and accuracy, develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, and begin to explore the wonders of science through inquiry-based labs. Our dedicated teachers create a nurturing environment that fosters a love of learning and lays the foundation for future success.
Developing Critical Thinkers
As students progress to grades 3-5, they build on their foundational skills and develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Our curriculum becomes increasingly relevant to their lives, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned to real-world scenarios. Students learn to analyze information, evaluate evidence, and communicate their ideas effectively. This strong foundation prepares them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Empowering Innovators
In our Middle School, students enter a world of possibility. Our STEM lab and Science lab provide hands-on opportunities for students to design, experiment, and innovate. Students take high school-level math courses, including Algebra I, and participate in robotics teams and other extracurricular activities that challenge them to think creatively and work collaboratively. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in sports teams, such as basketball, where they learn valuable skills like teamwork and sportsmanship. Through it all, our students develop into confident, capable, and curious individuals who are well-prepared for success in high school and beyond.
Sincerely,
Jasmine Rahmani
